1. I feel that this was a great experience. This was my first personal essay I have written. I learned a lot from this essay. Personal essays come from the heart and that makes it a little easier to write. It is something that has impacted your life and you want to write about it. One thing that I was surprised about in writing the personal essay was how easy it was. The words just flowed on to the page. I think that I would write a personal essay again.
2. I believe that the quote is right. To read you have to take in knowledge and to write you express that knowledge you have learned on paper. This quote really makes sense to me. This quote for me is really easy to understand. Reading is so crucial for writers because that is how they going to learn. Reading is something you do to learn things. If writers did not read, then writers could not write. This is how the writers learn and are able to make their pieces of work even better. I believe that reading is vital for every write to take to time to do.
3. My favorite piece of writing was the scary story we wrote. I was able to find out that I had another side of me that I could write. I usually write about happy things, but this piece was about sadness. This should me I can write anything I want. I believe that my favorite genre was poetry because the words just seem to flow on to the page. I always hated poetry, but now after this class I really like it. The biggest challenge that I faced was the play because I had never written a play. It was hard to fit the required pages at first, but then everything finally came together. There was not really any piece that I did not care for. I like them all. They all had some kind of special meaning. I think that I will use the skills of writing poems and plays. I really learned a lot from them. I really learned a lot from this class and I enjoyed taking it.

An Unexcitingly Titled Blog

1. One principle that guides my life is to always take it a day at the time. You never know what life is going to throw at you. It is very important know in my life because I really learned that you have to just handle things as they come. You can plan ahead, but sometimes things don’t always work out. You take little steps in life. Everything will always work out. You just have to wait and be patient. I have to let God lead my life and I know because of him everything will be fine. This is my guidelines for me.

2. When my dad had a triple bypass, I learned that you have to be thankful for what you have. The little things in life really mean something to you when you go through this. Even though it happened on my birthday, it was the best gift I could ever receive because he did not die. I learned through this whole process to be thankful for the people around you. This experience really changed my life.

3. Something I hope to accomplish in the New Years is to be grateful for what I have. I feel with my dad this is gift that God has given me and him second chance at life. I feel that I very lucky to still have him around. I could not image life without him. Through this whole experience I have learned to accepted life’s challenges and all that comes with the challenges. You never know what is going to happen in the future and you just have to learn to deal with it. This is my goal for the New Year. I hope I stay true to this goal.
